I'm sorry... I just found your this website and I know it's annoying to ask something anyone else already did. But I've lookded all over de site and I couldn't find what I need to know...
I've been in US for almost 16 months now... I got a 180 days I-94 (B2 Visa)when I arrived, filed for an extension and got a letter 2 weeks ago, aproving my stay until june, 20 2004!!! So I'm overstaying my visa for almos 130 days... I've heard that, there is by law, kind of like a "grace period" of 180 days after your visa expires... is that true? Does anyone know how can I reach a reliable source to check this up? I aprecciate anyone's benevolence answering these questions, and put myself avaiable to share any information it could be usefull... Thanks :)

There is no grace period. You are out of status immediately as soon as
your I-94 expires. If you stay beyond 180 Days
of your I-94 expiry, you will be banned for 3 years from entering US.

If you do not care of coming to US again, then it is fine otherwise
you can be in trouble if you try to enter US again on the same
multiple entry VISA.
