How long will H1B approval remain valid

Experts I need urgent Advice!

If my company files for my H1B visa in April 2006, and gets approval for the same how soon do I need to be transferred to US? I know that I would be eligible to work starting Oct 2006, but can I wait, say, till January 2007? How long can one wait after H1B approval? I am not asking about L1. Pls help!

yes. you can. no issues. you can come anytime before your h1-b approval expires. even 2 months before expiration date.
