What is the first thing an American should do when wanting to move to Canada. Fiance lives there, but we do not wish to "have" to marry within the 90 days. Associates Degree in Engineering...does this help things? Appreciate earlier replies!

I am not sure on how to answer your question but can refer you to a club on Yahoo that I am also a member of. There are many there that are in your situation and can answer your questions better. Most people on here have bachelors or advanced degrees and are applying under skilled categories. Your category maybe different and since you are an American citizen, your case is different. Different in an easier way.
In any case, go to www.yahoo.com and click on clubs. Then, do a search for "across the 49th parallel". Let me know if you have any problems. I will look for you on there...good luck.
