how long to get485 receipt

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how long will it take to get 485 receipt? My lawyer tolde me it will take 10-12 weeks to get it. Is that right? I mailed my 485 on Oct.7th. I want to know when I can get 485 receipt and when I can get my AP?

Your lawyer is outdated

Now a days receipts seem to be issued immediately like within 10 days you should have it in your hand. many people are getting FP done within one month of applying. Did you check to see if the fee checks have been cashed by INS ?

Thanks for your information. The company pay the application fee. So, I couln't check if INS cashed the check. I am still waiting for the receipt. Hope I can get it soon.

I-485 receipt

my I-485 was sent on 3rd October ;
I had the receipt in hand on Oct. 14th.
