How long till interview in LA?

How long does it usually take from sending the I485 application to Chicago till the interview in Los Angeles? a friend sent her application late June. She is done withe FP in July but hasn't heard anything about an interview. Is it usual?
 
There is a lot of people who filed in that time and are still waiting for their fingerprint appointments and interview letters... just tell them to be patient and check the July/August filers thread.
 
I filed early July.....received my EAD card....but yet to receive the IL letter. Another filer from LA.....BBQchickenrobot......got the IL letter recently and his/her interview is scheduled for late November. I guess LA office is moving slow with this at this time
 
She just got her EAD too. I think you guys are all on the same boat. It is good to know that LA office is moving though. Thanks.

It's a really easy calculation actually - it is the difference in time between the point where the interview takes place and the present.
