how long rfe will take to approve

My friend got RFE for Employement letter ( july filer). He responded last month and INS got the RFE on 28 Sept. How long will it take to approve here in Nebraska.
He is planning to visit home country next month. Does he have to apply for Advance Parol. What are the documents required to take it Local office Minneapolise. whether the booking status of ticket is required or any letter or anything required.

Generally in 3 weeks

If the RFE is responded correctly with all the requirements you should the decision in approximately 3 weeks. I know two of my friends who got RFE's and after sending the replies they got their approvals in less than 3 weeks time. But you know, we are dealing with INS here, so anything can happen.
