My boyfriend was banned from the US for overstaying his touris visa by 2 weeks 4 years ago. Also, they made him sign a paper that said he had worked illegally there (even though he didn't). I know that for overstaying your tourist visa you are generally banned for 3 years but how long if you "worked". As I said, he didn't really work, but they detained him and told him they wouldn't release him unless he "cooperated", so he signed the forms to get out of the detention. Now this must be on record, so does anybody know how long you are banned for "working illegally"?
