let me see if i have better luck in this section than i the other ine. over a month i ago i got my petition approval and it went to the nvc. the date is a month current, so how much longer must i wait then? those who got approval and saw that the dates were current, how long was your wait?

also, a few days after i got the 1-797 i sent an email (stil have it) about being able to travel and that spoke of the following:

It also speaks of contacting me directly. You perhaps don't have my contact info, but you can send the info to my mother's house. Let me know if you have the any questions or concerns.

the original petition has me in another state. will call monday to see what is going on and to update any contact info.

should i worry? what should i do? and since the date has been current for about a year (waiting to see the July bulletin and praying for no retro issue), how much longer should i wait?

also, have a friend whose date is two years from being current. got approval back in january. not sure if lawyer or immigration said it wouldn't take more than ten months. told my friend that i think they have to wait like two years. the person is from eastern euro btw. i don't think ten months will be enough. then again like i told my friend, they know how many petitions are on file and how many visas are ready. perhaps after the 245i people (i am one of them) are over with the line wil run really fast. i doubt it.

I have no clue about your entire timeline neither you exact case, so is very difficult to understand what type is your case?

So by your post, the only thing that I understand is that you will be doing adjustment of status through the 245i but you are waiting for your priority date become current, right? But you must wait for a visa number as well...so sometimes the priority date is current but there is no visa number available and until that comes available then you must wait, the period of waiting I don't know and I don't think that there is a specify timeline for that. What country are you from?

Since there is a count by country, and if you are in a country with a high number of petitions means that the possiblity to get as quickly as you can a visa number could be lower because the high demand on that particular country at the moment.
