how long it will take to get 485 receipt? Thanks

I mailed out 765, 485 application on 08/16 by express mail, but I still didn't get the receipt yet till now. Checks have been cashed already. But the stupid bank has destroyed all cashed checks and therefore I can not get the SCR # throught the cashed check.
Could you guys please share your information about how long it will normally take to get the 485 receipt? Should I call USCIS?

Don't worry, and be patient.

Usually it takes 2-4 weeks, wait atlest 3 weeks, then call TSc.

Notes:
Always any doc u send u receive make copy for ur records

Always use USPS Certified mail with return receipt (the Green part is return to you within few days by USPS on that green receipt u may find TSC internal filing # so u can track it).




Btw many financial institute return checks as it, not sure why ur bank do like that. ask them if u may find copy online-banking , usually they attach and keep copy of that one for few months,

Be patient it would come to u, and u also have ck# too, so they would tack it out incase.


Defination of Bank:
A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it begins to rain.
