how long it takes to receive EAD card?

Hi,

I applied for EAD card and have not received it yet. Checking online gave the following message:

"On January 14, 2003, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."

Does anyone have an idea when I can possibly receive the card?

EAD card is the work permit. I don't know what kind of EAD card this is. I applied it through Asylum which I got a year ago. Does this message tell me that My EAD card application got approved? But I have not received it. It's been two weeks now.
 
I sent mine on December 23rd, I received a letter from INS Nebraska January 20th saying it takes 80 days.
Dear Sharon, everyone on this forum will tell you if you have been granted asylum, you will not need the EAD. if you apply for a job, you need to show them your non restricted SS and driver licence.
the reason I apply every year is because I don't have original document that proves I was granted (like judge letter, action of notice ,I-94). the only thing i have is EAD and a copy of judge letter.

From the information you have posted it appears that they had made a decision to issue you the EAD card. Since it was dated 14th January, you should be receiving your card any day now.

next time do not apply for an employment authorization. Save youself 120 dollars. Asylees do not have to have one. :)

Hey Shamshon, where can i find the INS docuement that says asylee don't need EAD in order to work.
