How long it takes to get the receipt

Hi,

My laywer filed the 485 2 weeks back. How long does it normally takes to get the receipt from the INS? Has anyone gotten the receipt recently?

Now-a-days it is quite fast. One of my colleague, who filed in March 02, got the receipt in a week. Mine which was filed in Nov 01 and got it in 3 weeks. So you can expect it anytime soon :)

used to be a long wait :(

we filed in 140 in May got receipt in July, filed 485 in Oct, got receipt one month later :-(....

but now it is really fast.
