How long it takes to get a second H-1?

I currently work for a full time job with a H-1 visa. I am thinking of taking a second job, which is a hourly paid part time job (2-10 hours per week). Does any one know how long it will take to get a second H-1 visa? If I loose my current job after I file the second H-1 application, will I be in status?
