How long is the wait after PD becomes current.

Hi Gurus,

How long does the VSC usually take to approve I-485 after the PD becomes current? I know it is difficult to predict but any thoughts?

My I-140 (EB-1) was approved in Nov 2005. I-485 was filed concurrently on Jan 31, 2005. My PD will get current on May 1. Our fingerprinting was done in August 2005 and BCIS "has received the results."

Hi there
my experience was that after the PD becomes current the application gets approved immediately. I got the approval e-mail the same day as the PD got current. Good Luck.
 
485 approval after current PD

Hi Gurus,
Similar to Ajay my case has a I-140 approved in Feb 2006 under EB1 (OR @VSC), the PD (June 05) will become current in May 06. I did my FP in July 05. Do we have to wait until VSC starts to process 485 cases filed in June 05 (my filing date), or is there a possibility that they can approve once PD is current?
They haven't called me for Biometrics yet, and how do I know if they have initiated name check, security checks, etc. ?

Hey, how did you know the results of the NC has been received by the USCIS?
 
Hi Immiq,

I do not know about NC results. I just said that the results of the fingerprinting have been received. That is what the online status says.
