How long is i-EAD good for?

Earlier there was a thread about the i-EAD, but I could not find it. So forgive me 140-takes-forever, I really want to get an answer on this.

Recently people get i-EAD which is only valid for 4 months. It used to be 8 months. Can someone recently get i-EAD tell me how long it is good for? Is it 4 months?

I will go to get i-EAD in the 14th of this month (91th day), if it is only good for 4 months, want should I do if by then my EAD renewal still does not come.

iEAD duration depends on the officers mood.
If it expires, and you still donot have EAD, go get another iEAD.
 
Silly Man, the second i-EAD, there is no need to wait for another 90 days, as soon as the first one expires, I can go to INS to get second one?

y'day we realised that my wife's EAD EXPIRED on 29th of apr, but on jan 18 th she applied for EAD renewal, we haven't got EAD renewal approved , so we would like to take IEAD BCOZ 90 DAYS already over.my quetion is
1.what are all documents required for IEAD and
2. In sf office where to enter and procedure for it.

More over her H1 b also expired, we don't want to take risk of waiting.her wac 01066-5xxxx for 485.

By law iEAD should be not more than 240 days.

Sec. 274a.13 Application for employment authorization.


(d) Interim employment authorization. The district director shall adjudicate the application within 90 days from the date of receipt of the application by the INS, except in the case of an initial application for employment authorization under § 274a.12(c)(8), which is governed by paragraph (a)(2) of this section, and § 274a.12(c)(9) in so far as it is governed by § § 245.13(j) and 245.15(n) of this chapter. Failure to complete the adjudication within 90 days will result in the grant of an employment authorization document for a period not to exceed 240 days.

Did you find IEAD link archive, because i couldn't find it.

if you deatils about docs required for IEAD please let me know, my wife would like to take IEAD {EAD EXPIRED AND applied for ead renewal on jan 18th} we re planning to go sfo and any idea about this office.

thanks 140_takes_4ever, but I beleive already we applied for EAD renewal including paying fee also,even for IEAD DO WE NEED TO PAY MONEY $120 AGAIN.In your link shows steps for renewal ead but not for IEAD REQUIREMTNS.if you have please pas it tome

IEAD

IEAD is valid for 240 days (8 months).
You do not have to pay any money for IEAD. Take copied of your EAD application, which is used internally by them to show that you have paid money, when you filled EAD.
ALso take copy of your EAD Notice.
