How long is FP valid for?

i meant after what period does INS require you to redo the FP if I485 has still not been approved.
 
In my case, I was told by my attorney about a validity of 3 months. As a result, I had to go for the second time. But. since the second FP, though another 3 months had passed but my I-485 was approved without going through a third time. So, I guess it is very inconsistent.
 
Actually 15 months!

Provided there is no problem with your FP it is valid for 15 months. By 15 months if your 485 is not approved then you will have to redo FP again.

I hit my 15 month for FP on Oct 10th!!
 
Thanks for the response folks. 15 months is a pretty long time. I hope I do not have to wait that long for the approval

if not mistaken - I remember my lawyer saying medical tests are valid for a year...
