How long from name check completed to approval?

Can anyone give your experience of how long from name check completed to approval?

I was told my name check completed on April 1(April fool?).

My RD:nov 20,2001, RD: 12/01/2001.

My name check was completed on 12th Jan 2003 and I am still waiting for approval 5.5 months after replying to RFE . There is no fixed time.
