How long from "file assigned" to decision?

Does anyone know how long it takes to get an answer after one's file has been assigned, under normal conditions?

My guesstimate

1 week to 4 week depending upon the officers load

I wanted a second opinion.

When I got my RFE, the decision took place exactly one week after the file was assigned. I just wanted to get a range, as I am really going crazy with this wait.

My RD was in Sept and it got assigned to an officer within 2 weeks(when sept RD started processing). I got RFE in OCt end and I replied within 2 days and it showed up on INS online status withing 6 days (that they received reply). I got approved in Jan end. It generally takes 1 to 3 months after RFE to hear something. If you are lucky you might hear in 2 weeks or more than 3 months if unlucky.
 
My case was assigned to an IIO at the end of November and have not heard anything on my case so far.
So, I think there are no rules there whatsoever...
