How long does it take in the USCIS (in VSC) to approve the final J1- COnrad waiver after it was approved by DOS and by the State itself?
My case has been approved by the state and DOS and now has been hanging still pending in the USCIS Vermont for the past 4 months!!!!!

Noone is giving me any answer as to why!!!

Any similar case????

Mine was approved in a month by the vermont center after DOS approved it. Done worry, it will happen eventually

DOS approval: October 15th, 2004.
Notice from BCIS : Nov 17th 2004.
I heard the process is quick early on (around october) as there are few applicants but tends to take time later due to increased applicants. Dont loose too much sleep over it, if DOS has approved, BCIS wont cause problems.

make sure they received and working on it?

mine was 4 months
if it takes longer, you may have to send them reminder

Not good news

This is concerning. When does 90 days clock starts? I thought it was when state approves conrad 30 petition.

I hope USCIS speeds up things. Most of the Conrad 30 approvals are probably already in USCIS's hands, I think.

90 days

Ninety-days' supposed to start ticking from the time the USCIS approves the waiver.

I agree that you case, User1972, is concerning. The USCIS received my waiver recommendation from the DOS on Nov. 16, '04 and approved it on Dec. 6. What is your lawyer doing about it? Why don't you call the USCIS (unless you've done so already)? Have you at least received a notice of receipt from them?

I called them

I called USCIS. I was not allowed to complain till the official 90 days limit passed. Once I called, 2 weeks ago, they took my complaint and said it takes 1 month to give me an answer.
This was with the VERMONT center.
My lawyer tried 2 senators so far and they told them it was pending and it could be due to background check???
Has anyone heard of background check for this type of situation?
Obviously my contacts seem to be either lazy or disinterested. I did everything I can. I call my lawyer once a week at least. I called other lawyers (Pederson and Freeman), they said that this is impossible to happen, and that they dont take the case in the middle!!!
Help if any lawyer is willing to help, or anyone has any suggestions?
