How long for RFE case to be approved

Is it really taking 540 days for RFE case to be approved? I replied to my RFE on Jan 19th but INS updated on Feb 23rd saying that they received my response on Feb 23rd. So how long do you think ?

Any thoughts will be appreciated

RFE - Dec 23 2002
RFE - Response Jan 19th 2003
Website updated - Feb 23 2003
Approval - ? (no clue)

RFE took 35 days to get approved for us..Anyway RFE was for Medicals ..

I am going to finish 540 days from intial filing of RD on March 6th. I haven't heard anything from the INS about my RFE as of yet it's going to be 5 months.

INS says 540 additional days (as on the status message) after the receipt of the response

Can anyone tell me what is RD, RFE? Are these acronym for something after you file I485?
