How long for just EAD??

Filed first time EAD around end of August.. I485 filed already.. have a notice date (RD-May 30 and ND-July 31).. Can some one tell me how many days approximately I\'ve to wait to get EAD from VSC? At some point there were people getting EAD in a month. Is it still the case??
 
I sent EAD application on AUG. 30 and received Notice yesterday

EAD RD 8/31/2001
    ND 9/10/2001
 
When you have 485 receipt letter before you apply for EAD

You may need just a couple of days to get EAD approved if apply in local INS.
At least this is what I experienced last week
