How long for I-140(VSC) Approval

Guys,
My company is filing I-140 petition today. How long usually it takes to get receipt number and approval (assuming no REF) in EB3 category? My company is a big company (25000 employees and more than one billion $ in revenue). No layoffs in last 5 years.

Labor Priority Date - July 2000.

what effect do layoffs have?

Nash_m mentions that his company hasn't had layoffs in 5 years... I was wondering: is this something that the USCIS considers when reviewing I-140 applications? :confused:

I have been working for the past 5 years with a Fortune 100 company (30K+ employees, > $10billion in revenue..) However, the company has had many layoffs in the past 5 years. Will this have a negative effect on my I-140 app?? :eek:

I don't believe, layoffs at your employer should affect your application in any way. Although one may argue that how can one company be laying off people and at the same time applying for permanent visas, I don't think it works that way.

At least from my personal experience, we had many layoffs (almost 50%) from 2002-2004 during which my green card was processed.
