How Long for FP notice?

Hi All,
This is my first post.

I have my employment based I 140 approved on 08/18/03.
I 485 was concurrently filed. Attorneys assistant sent the wrong FP fee and it had to be corrected after INS notified of the shortage. (Filed in NY. Vermont center)

From that date of the receipt of corrected fee online status displays following.
"On April 23, 2003, your fingerprint fee was accepted as complete, and processing of your case has resumed."

1. How long does it take for INS to call me for FP after the I 140 approval?
When I called INS national information line, officer immediately said that 'your finger printing is completed' just without reading the status carefully. I wonder whether it will give the same idea to anybody who will read that message and that will keep them from sending me the FP notice.

Me and my wife both have received AP & EAD.

2. My current H1 expires on 12/03. I still work for the same employer. However the salary filed for the labor was higher than what I was getting paid on H1. As the employer is not in a good financial situation, company wants to continue paying my H1 salary as long as possible. When must I start getting the salary applied for labor/I140?

3. Also once FP is done do I have to go for an interview? If so what information/documents do I have to provide? If I switch employers in between how does that affect?

Thanks in advance.

Sam.

To answer your first q, there seems to be a freeze on FPs in effect for those who filed I-485 in March 2003 and later. In other words, they are not taking FPs from these filers, and no one knows when they will be doing that.

Also, you may want to remember that quite a few people answering phones at CIS are mentally challenged.
