If I apply for an EAD now in VSC, how long does it take?

What is the current processing time?

My Wife File For Me In March Of 06, The I.130 Was Approved In May Of 06. Because Of $$ We Were Onable To File The Whole Package. So We Only File The Rest Of The Form In November Of 06. I Received A Letter For Finger Prints On 12/01/06. Did Finger Prints On Decmber 16
At Aso Site Fort Lauderdale. When Very Well In And Out In 15min.
The Interview Letter Come Soon After January 22/07 Looking Forward To The Interview In March 29/07 In Miami, Fl

1-130 March 2006

1-485/1-765 November 2006

Finger Prints On Dec/16/06

Interview Letter On Jan/22/07

Interview Date On March 29/07

Hi,

The timeframe for EAD approval at VSC varies a lot. I just had my 3rd EAD approved in about 2 weeks (RD= Jan 24, 2007; AD= Feb 6, 2007). However, it took around 80 days or so for my 1st & 2nd EAD.

I wish they were as fast on the I-485 processing!
 
I think it also depends on traffic.
For example, when they advanced the dates after retrogression by a few months, they will get a flood of new applications.

For now as the dates haven't moved much there probably are not too many new applications for an EAD and hence they need to process only renewals and is quicker.
That might explain why your latest one was so fast.
 
EAD & I485

I Beleive That I Have The Same Situation As I Am Still Waiting For My Ead Or Approval Of I485. In A Nut Shell This Is My Timeline:
I130 Filled-05/08/06
Receipt 05/22/06
Notice Of Transfer 07/25/06
Approval 08/15/06
I485 & I765 Recivd 11/05/06
Notice 11/09/06
Asc 2 & 3 Notice 11/14/06 Also Medical Request
Bio & Finger Print 11/29/06
Notice 12/08/06 (request For Evidence Recevd And Case Resume On Both I485& I765)
Todate Called And Was Told To Be Patient. Can Anyone With The Same Timeline Help Me Figure Out What Happen Next I Have Not Gotten A Interview Date Yet.
 
Another question:

I have already done my biometrics last June after applying for I-485.

As I've applied the I-765 now, will they ask me to take the bio again or will they reuse what I submitted 8 months back?
I haven't applied for EAD before and this is my first.

I was only fingerprinted once in August 2005 in connection with my I-485 application. They have never asked me for additional biometrics for EAD extensions.
 
Is fingerprinting required for EAD/AP approval? I remember my first EAD/AP (filed concurrently with 485) were approved before I had my first FP. For the second round EAD/Ap they probably had my 485 fingerprints on file.

Yes you will. My biometrics appointment was approximately 3 weeks after online submission (Mid-December 06) and EAD was approved 3 days after biometrics.
Forgot to mention - it was VSC and i haven't sent any supporting documentation

I sent in my EAD and got RD of 8th Feb.
LUD was updated on yesterday AND today so I hope that's positive news.
