How long for cheque to clear?

I mailed my N-400 application to VSC on April 12th and they received it the next day. I attached a personal cheque for required fee but I don't see it deducted my from account yet. Is this delay usual? Any experince? Since I did everything myself, I was just wondering if they found something wrong with the application and that might be the reason.

When can I expect a reciept if all is OK?

Relax.

My check cleared my checking account 3 days after my RD/PD (early Feb. at NSC). Given yourself a few more days (really the rest of this week) before starting to worry.
 
my check was cleared about 5 business days after my PD (3/9/05). i think it is about a week time depending on how much checks they would have to deposit.
