How long for an I-485 LUD after I140 approval?

Dear friends,

My I-140 and I-485 were NOT filed concurrently.

I-140 was approved on 21st Jul 2006. However, I have NOT seen any movement on the 485 (No LUDs, RFEs etc). Clearly, since EB2 (India) is over for FY 06, I do NOT expect an approval. Though, it would be nice to see some sort of activity on 485.

Also, the message on the USCIS on-line querry for I1485 still reads "Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on April 11, 2006. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.". The message has NOT changged to show that they received the CODE 3 FP's, which was done over three months back.

The questions I have are:[/I]

a) Does one get a LUD on the 485 application after 140 approval? If yes, how long before the LUD shows up?

b) When do the "FP received" notice show up on the 485 status?

Any answers are appreciated.

--->don't think there will be lud on 485 just because 140 is approved. my 140 was approved last year.
--->plus my pd is is current: but i am still waiting like you.

-->i have 2 luds on my 485. but still the message remains the same like you: "your....received..." thing. i noticed that the 2nd lud occured the day after i did fp. but that didn't change the message. so you are not alone: hang in there.

I don't think you'll see any activity on your 485 till a visa number is available. Most probably it'll be on a visa number "hold" and you'll see a LUD/RFE only after your PD becomes current AND your background check/name check is clear.
