How long for a case to get assigned to an officer

There seems to be no end to this waiting game. Either it is name check or something else. There are a bunch of cases with dates current, Namecheck cleared and waiting for getting assigned to an officer.

My case has been in such state for almost a month. Confirmed this with Infopass that case is ready for adjudication and waiting to be assigned to an officer. Does anybody have any idea what that time frame is.

I am in the same boat. Waiting to be assigned to an officer.
I called up TSC and asked them - what happened to "we process cases in the order we receive it"...almost all USCIS notice has that....

And still people from 2000 / 2001 have to hang around to see all these approvals from 2002 / 3 / 4....

she basically told me...there is NOTHING you can do...your case is waiting with 1000 other cases WAITING to be assigned to an officer...we would let you know in 30 to 60 days the status of your case....basically where it is pending...

what kind of crap is that????
Is there really 1000 more cases not assigned yet?? How good is that no.?

Thanks for your response. Each time I call they tell me the same. Dont know when all this is going to end.

Does anyone have any sugestions how to get these cases assigned. Does calling TSC repeatedly help?

Same here !!!

My name check was cleared on May 15th. I called TSC to check on the status they did confirm that my security check was cleared.
Also she told me that my case need to be assigned to an officer. When I asked how long this will take?. She did not comment anything.
I don't know what else we can do.
