How long does it take to process CP from Canada compared to India

My husband and I are canadian citizens but Indians by birth. Our agent told us that we have 2 options for Consular Processing (CP) - from India or from Canada. I want to know how long it takes from Canada currently? As I heard, from India it takes 3-5 months.
Another question I have is - when we applied for I-140 we did not mention that we are going for CP. But if our lawyer does ACI-140 for us, can we do our CP from Canada?
Thanks for any help in this matter.
 
Montreal and AC140

I don\'t believe the Montreal consulate handles AC140s. I suspect you will find it a little quicker and simpler since NVC handles the Packets 3 and 4, so there is little likelihood of rejection in Montreal for documentation problems.

Perhaps you can ask your attorney to file an I-140 amendment requesting Consular Processing?
