How long does it take to get the actual CARD.

We got our passports stamped this morning from Dallas INS office. We reached there at around 4:00 A.M. Already there were around 70-80 people in front of us. They let us in at around 7:15 A.M. As soon as we got in one lady issued token numbers, our number got called immediately, we went to that counter and she asked for our all visas, travel documents, photos and I-94. It hardly took 15 minutes, we were out by 7:35 A.M. When I asked how long it takes she said it takes 6 months. Any idea how long does it take. Thanks
