How Long Does It Take Fbi To Process Fingerprints ??

Can someone please tell me how long it takes the FBI to process the actual fingerprints. I just want to know when I can call them for status.
I did my fingerprints on 12/15/00.

We gave FP on 11/16. I called FBI to check the status recently. My case was cleared on 11/21 and my spouse\'s was cleared on 11/19.

they told me FP came from INS went back on the same day to INS,
this means my Fp cleared? or not. I called next day INS asked my
FP approval INS IIO said they dint receive from FBI, so I could
not understand why it dint reach?. How long it takes to get their
systems to get updated?

FBI told, came and went back means approved?

even I called INS after 10 days, they dint receive? why

pls. asnwer anybody have any idea.

The same day they receive them from INS, they send the results back to INS. All delays in FP processing are on the INS side. It took the INS a week to forward my FP to the FBI.
