How Long does I 140 amendment Process Take ?

Greetings All,

My Company X was acquired by Company Y. I had to file I 140 amendment as Company X was re registered in a different state for taxation purposes and New registered Company X is a subsidiary of Company Y.

1. How much time does such I 140 amendment approvals take ? My application was filed on 05/21/01 ( I 140 amendment ).
2. Do I have to call up IIO and link this I 140 amendment with my I 485 application ( ND 02/15/01 EB2 RIR VSC EAD, AP approved and FP done on 07/03/01 ). I read some threads on the site who have done this.

Hi,
  I was in a similar situation. My I140 amendment was filed some time in May\'01. I called up IIO in August and let her know that it is linked to my 485. She said she could speed up the processing of the 140. My I140 was approved within a week after that. So, I would advise you to call an IIO and let them know that.
