How long does audit normally take?

My case was submitted in July. An audit was issued on 07/28 and we submitted the required document on 08/18. It has been two month since the audit and we have not heard anything back yet. My case is in Atlanta center.

Does anybody know how long an audit normally takes?

I'll give you some depressing news -- we filed a PERM case in October 2005, received an audit a few months later, replied to it within a week, and then we received a decision just this month, in October 2006 (over a YEAR after filing.) Atlanta is significantly backlogged with audits, and they are not treating the replies very friendly.
