How long do you have to respond to an RFE ?

I\'m sure this question has been asked earlier and answered and I apologise for asking again, but does anyone know how much time you are given to respond to an RFE? The response to my RFE has not yet been recieved by VSC even after 2 weeks and I don\'t want my case to get abandoned due to non receipt of the RFE.

Hello Dan Dan:
Every RFE comes with a due date on it.
For me, RFE notice date of 4/25/01, I have
the due date of 7/21/01. i.e. approx 3 months
or 12 weeks.

Thanks! As my RFE is being handled by my employer I haven\'t seen the actual notice, hence the question.
