How long can I work remotely from Canada and maintain TN status due to COVID-19

Hi, I've been working for the US employer. Due to COVID situation, I came back to Canada be with my family. I've been working remotely for the past month from Canada.

Given the circumstances, how long can I continue to work from Canada without jeopardizing my TN status (which still has 2 more years to go). I'll be declaring income in Canada and paying taxes here too so that's not an issue. My concern is will the officer at POE deem me out of status for being outside for a month or two? What is a reasonable time to be outside of US while still maintaining TN. I'll have my payroll etc to show.

As long as you're still working there shouldn't be any changes. Unless TN gets included in the rumored H1B/L1/OPT ban, but that's probably not likely.
