How long before eligible to reapply for H1B

Hi,

I returned back to India after 6 years in US. My employer had begun GC processing for me, but the operation wound up just days before my 6 yrs limit on H1 was reached. My questions are:

1) How long before I am eligible to reapply for a H1 visa.

2) Are there any other avenues that are possible for an early return to US?

a) 1 year
b) Not sure, but L-1?? B-1 would be difficult as you have immigration intent...as the other non-immigration visa categories, which require proof of non-immigration intent..
