How long before Bombay responds to AC-140 application?

Hi everybody,

Could someone please provide some insight to the following:
1. How long before the US Consulate at Bombay responds to my AC-140 application (received by consulate on Oct 21, 2000)
2. As I have already sent Packet 3 along with the AC-140 appl, would I have to send packet 3 again?
3. What kind of time-frame can I look forward towards getting an interview date.

You should get an appointment within 3 months of their receipt of Packet 3 (if your PD is current). All US Consulates have web sites and the one for Mumbai is usembassy.state.gov/mumbai. You can check if your appointment has been scheduled.

Looking at these message threads it seems that it is possible to bypass the NVC for AC-140 in Mumbai.
Is that true?
