hello everyone
i was wondering how long it takes to receive the green card usually after you pass the stokes interview. i passed my stokes succesfully on NOV 4th, in garden city NY. the IO gave me verbal approval regarding the I-130 but told me he had to review the I-485 before issuing the green card.
thanks

Bourn24, congrats man!! You really had the short end of the stick their with your first interview. I was wondering about you, and I got my Physical GC today. Keep a tab on your online 485, you will get updates like, card production ordered, approval notice sent, when you see that LUD your GC should be on hand in a week or 2.

congrats to you too for finally receiving your green card, i hope i get mine soon as well. i really went through a fun experience which is rare and really surprising in the case of a stokes interview, i'll be posting my experience soon.

hello, well it's a long list of questions. i yet have to find time to post my experience hopefully soon, but what i can tell you is expect rigurous questioning especially since your interview is in federal plaza. you will go in together with your wife for about 10 min, the officer will review the file during that time. then the officer will take the beneficiary out from the room to the waiting area, and go back to question the petitioner for at least an hour after that the beneficiary and petitioner will switch positions. at the end he will bring your spouse back to the room and ask you about any dicrepancies in your answers in order to give you a chance to explain. if successful the officer will most likely tell you on the spot that the I-130 is approved and you should receive a decision regarding the I-485 soon.
here are some the questions i was able to remember from my interview, i was lucky i had a nice officer, so he didnt ask many questions but you never know. if you are lacking preparation and especially good communication between you and you spouse along to paying very good attention to details then this is the time to work very hard on it.
what's your name? spell it?
what's your wife's name? spell it? any other names she uses?any other names i use?
what's your address? spouse address?
what's your landlord's name?
what's your birthday? spouse birthday?
what's your anniversary date? what did you do for your last anniversary?
what gifts did you give your wife? gifts she gave you?
do you live in an apartment or house?
did you work yesterday? did your spouse work yesterday?
where do you work? your spouse work? schedule of work?
describe your bedroom?
do you have a dresser? a carpet or rug? what color?
size of bed?
when you come out of your bedroom going to the bedroom, do you go straight make a left or a right?
what did you do yesterday? a couple of days ago? who cooked last night? what time you went to sleep last night? did you watch tv yesterday? what shows? who made breakfast today?
the list goes on and on, it's a matter of preparation. practice with your spouse and go over every small details in your life.
all i can wish you is good luck, and DONT GET NERVOUS OR MAD under any circumstances and of course a lawyer is a must, make sure a lawyer goes with you so your rights are protected.
good luck, keep us posted
