How long after approval?

I am a US citizen and am thinking of sponsering my parents especially that with the new immigration bill i might be no longer able to sponser them. I know that their approval will be in very short time but does anybody knows how long they need to arrive to the US after the approval? Can their 1-130 and I-485 be approved and they come to the US after year or two?

Plan on approx 9-12 month timeframe from submitting I-130 to them receiving their immigrant visa via CP. After that, the immigrant visa is good for 6 months from the date of issue.
