How is the situation with B-visa extension

Hi all ,

How is the present situation with extending B-Visa's for tourists.
I mean is everbody getting it normally as before . I would like
to here from people who recently tried and got it .
 
My parents visa extension approved for 6 months last week. They apllied on Oct 17 th. approval date is Jan 6th.
 
Time frame for the receipt notice

Hi Devathi, congratulation for the approval. How long did you have to wait before you got your receipt notice from INS ?
I mailed my application for my in laws' extension one month ago and did not hear anything and the check has not been cashed yet. Thanks for your response.
 
If my wife's application to extend her B 2 visa is denied and this reply comes from INS after the date on I 94 by which she is presently required to leave, will she be considered out of status ?
