Looking at my LC application, I could not find any job code that my lawyer putting on from the DOL site. Also will the same prevailing wage be applied to both LC and H-1B providing the position and requirements are the same? Thanks.

meg_z,

Are you talking about DOT code or SOC code?

Prevailing wages need not nessecarily be same for H1b and LC, unless it is done same time and for same position.

Should be either of the two codes

I do not have the copies with me. But I do remember that the code was 008. However I could not find such format on the DOL site. Wondering how/where the lawyer got the info. Thanks.

Here are the two codes...

LCA Code 008, and NAICS code: 322222. Does anybody know how to find salary info based on these codes? Thanks.

LCA code 008 is is a Chemical Engineering Occupation. LCA codes are attached as Appendix 1 to form ETA-9035.

You can view NAICS codes at http://www.census.gov/epcd/www/naics.html
NAICS Code 322222 is Coated and Laminated Paper Manufacturing .

Although both of these codes are required for completion of the I-129(W), neither is particularly useful in determining prevailing wage.

A prevailing wage determination can be obtained from the State DOL or by using a survey that is acceptable to DOL. Use of the survey saves time but blows the safe harbor of a DOL determination.

I normally use the prevailing wage survey posted at http://www.flcdatacenter.com/owl.asp
it goes by job title and location.
