I had applied for AOS in Jan 2010 as spouse of USC. I have my interview in the next month. My question is how important is the letter from employer stating your employment status, income, etc etc...
The thing is our employers do not provide such letters as they have subscribed to a service called The Work Number (www[dot]theworknumber[dot]com) . So whoever wants to check such details can contact theworknumber directly.
Also, I read it somewhere that we need to take a new I864 and a I693 for the interview, even though it was sent along with the initial I130/485 packet. I don't think that was true but, just want to confirm?

Replace [dot] with "."
Thanks!
