How Filed I-140's are affected due to this 485 fiasco

Hi All,
Can guru's explain me how the filed I-140's (filed between Jan 07 to Jul 07 and waiting for approval) are affected by this I-485 mess and how the Visa non-availablity is affecting I-140.
