Hi

I recentlly got laid off, my last pay stub is Nov 22nd and my company told me that they will not inform INS for 60 days and my visa with them expires Mar 2003. I found a new employer who is willing to do my H1 transfer but taking little time in setting it out.

My question is how fast I should file for H1B transfer, I heard that we should submit recent pay stubs so my last pay stub is of Nov 22nd.

Any light on this is very helpful.

Thanx

I have done it exactly in 35 days and got approved, try to get things moved as soon as possible..

Hi deva

Thanx for your response, I have couple of questions

1. 35 days is the date you filed (mailed) to INS or INS receipt date.

2. so did you file on premium processing or normal?.

3.did you start working for the new employer immediately after filing?.

4. provided the last paystubs including the last one or paystubs just before the last one.

Also, any experiences from others are also appreciated.

thanx

Hi
1. 35 days is the receipt date of my application
2. regular processing (no queries during the process, but it took 4 1/2 months to get approved)
3. Yes i started working for the employer after i received the receipt no
4. included the last pay stub from my previous employer

You should not face any problems if you filed/are going to file it as soon as possible.
