How effective AILA inqury

Hi All,

Did anybody did AILA request in the past?. How effective is that. I made on July 13 and yet to get response.

Please share you thoughts.

how did you do an AILA enquiry? I tried to do it myelf, then finally had to get my lawyer to contact someone in Aila to go after USCIS.
My AILA enquiry took about a week to 2 I think. But it was very effective in my case at least. Before that I had been sending letters and call with no effect.

I hired a new lawyer, signed G-28 and asked him to do AILA (charged me $250). And he sent me an email on July 13 saying "he already sent the inqury" . I called NSC IO yesterday, it still says my old lawyer on file. It is almost a month, I am not sure my lawyer did or not?.
 
your lawyer seems to be a bigger idiot than mine.
$250 to send an email sounds excessive. Basically its sending an email to an AILA liason, and then hoping they have the time to look into the matter.

Since my wife's case (I-485) is pending for longtime (nobody can beat in RD) 03/06/2003) and I was exhuasted with SR and Infopass. He suggested me to file WOM. I believe if NC cleared, WOM does not make sense ( as per IO and Infopass - it is cleared). I asked him to make an status inqury via AILA.
