How does this new bill for legalizing illegal immigrants work?

From what I've gathered, anyone who has been in the country for more than 5 years does not have to go back to their home country. But how does their green card/citizenship process start? Is it the same as ours - find an employer willing to sponsor them, get the green card and then start the citizenship process after 5 years? Or do they automatically get a green card after paying all back taxes, background checks, etc?

so many parameters and it could be changed. One thing I guess, just guess. Those who got green card and left employers shall not worry because by the time they apply for citizenship, it's 5 or more yrs, dated back their so-called fraud, worse case they were classified as illegal immigrant.(some fraud must start earlier than they got the actual green card, maybe even when applying H-1B)

and righteous posters protesting "intent" or want others to leave the country can remain silent.
