How does processing work for the secondary on my 485 application

All:

My company filed for my 485 and they did the same for my wife (even though she does not work at all). My understanding is that I am the primary on the application.

How does the USCIS look at these cases? I am in the process of filing the RFE response (hopefully by end of this week) issued to my late feb, but my wife's online status still remains the same old from almost 2 years back.

Is my understanding correct that if I get approved ... I hope ... will they approve her as well?

Once you are approved she will be approved, they don't look at her files, except for background check, name check, taxes etc. You are the primary applicant and she is the derivative.
 
I also see the same.
I and my kids got RFEs and the message changed. My wife's message still remains the old message..
My company replied for my RFE today. Still working on replying for my kids RFE which is for their birth records.
My RD is July 2002.
