How does FP process work if my service Center is CSC and I live in NYC

Folks,
  Any idea how the FP process works if my service Center is CSC and I live in NYC. I am here on an extended assignment but my application has been filed at CSC. Should I be getting FP notice in mail or I have to acquire it from my lawyer. Also, where would they generally schedule the FP (in NYC? in my case?)
 Also, do they change AVM once the fP notice is issued.

I got my fp notice, but AVM not updated.

You will get your FP notice to your address, your lawyer will also get a copy of it. You can give your fp in NYC.
