How do you take back an approved I-140?

Hello All,

I wanted some details regarding the procedure to be followed to take back an approved I-140 from the INS.

I want to file I-140 using Substitute Labor Certification of another employee who was laid off after his I-140 approval (no 485 was filed). I heard somewhere that to do this, the company has to write to INS to cancel the already approved I-140 based on the previous LC so that it could be reused.

Any Comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated??
