Hi everyone
Week ago I received letter form INS that my case having been delayed for more then 3 years was scheduled for Hearing( so it is my first hearing). However, today I got notice about changinh in hearing location from Immigration court. Sending another address instead of old address they wrote “ your case has been scheduled for Muster Hearing before an Immigration Judge…” .

So my most important question is what difference is between Hearing and Muster hearing?

Is there anyone can explain that for me please? and what do you think when my Final Court will be scheduled after taking place of my muster hearing?

Thanks

Well in a nutshell, in a master hearing the judge asks you or your attorney whether you admit that you over-stayed your visa (if you had one) and what you want do about that , then if you admit you did over stay then you would ask for relief in the form of political asylum and withholding of removal under the convention against torture. The judge fixes the date at which the hearing will be heard. My advice is the same as always, get a lawyer to help you present your case, the asylum system is unpredictable and subjective and thouroughly dysfunctional. Your chances of success are much better with an attorney.

Good luck!!
