I had my interview for AOS based on a marriage to a USC in NYC in May 2004. The DAO could not render a decision on the case because of outstanding background checks. After writing to the Ombudsman, it turned out that my background checks did not appear in my file because USCIS mixed up my fingerprints results with a different Alien number. I was told that the two files would be merged soon. That was in September 2004!!!!as of today my case is still pending.
Since I gave my fingerprints on January 2004, they will expire next week ( 15 months) I am worried that:
1/ Since the previous fingerprints were not recorded under my regular Alien number, the renewal notice is not going to be generated
or
2/ in case the renewal notice is generated, it will be under the Alien number which does not belong to me.
Please how could I request a fingerprint notice ?
Thanks!
