I changed jobs using AC 21 and have been scheduled for an interview soon at the local INS office.
My problem is that my attorney of records is still the lawyer appointed by my old company who is very close to them. Obviously, I do not trust him any more and would like to remove him as my attorney. However, I do not want to hire a new lawyer since my case is almost done. However, I am not sure if my current lawyer will properly forward me all notices and communications if INS sends him any - basically, I am not comfortable having him as my lawyer any more since his actual client is my previous company.
How can I remove him and inform INS that he no longer represents me? Filing form G 28 requires a substitution with another lawyer which I do not want to do. I have an interview appt. scheduled soon.
